I’m starting an online study group for those interested in studying for the ASIS PSP (Physical Security Professional) cert.
If you want to join me, shoot me (Travis Lishok…there’s only one!) a DM on LinkedIn.
I intend to hold 1-2 meetings per week over zoom for 6 weeks, starting in Mid April. The one pre req is to have the study materials from the ASIS website.
Will there be more study groups in the future? Very likely, yes.
A word on certifications
Yes, I know certifications are kinda BS.
Milton Friedman has an entire essay about why ALL licenses and certifications are nearly worthless in his book Capitalism and Freedom (1962). Enjoy!
But let’s be pragmatic… we live in the Matrix, so we have to play by the rules that exist IN the Matrix. And sometimes, those rules are about industry certifications 🤷♀️.
At the very least, studying all the materials for the exam and passing it, at least force one out of their comfort zone and expose them to new ideas.
